A lot of bang for the buck! Well, actually euro, not “buck” / U$, but those very thin socks are actually much better than I had anticipated, especially at the price.

I have been wearing them for about a year now, mostly in shoes that are 0.5 – 1 size too big (I use them for trail running, so in winter they go together with my neoprene socks, which need some additional space, and for travelling aka just walking around, a pair of shoes a number too big is actually not that bad, more comfortable, actually) and for layering. The “one size too big” shoes thing is sort of important for socks, especially those as thin as the socks rated here, because it includes more sliding around inside of the shoe, so, more friction, more wear. And so far, I yet have to see holes in these little socks! So, very satisfied. I have had much more expensive Icebreaker gloves made out of very thin merino, and they did not survive even a month! Of light use.

At some points with higher abrasion there is noticeable wear in the socks, but no hole yet! And, at the price, that is really all you can ask. Heck, it would even be acceptable if the socks were double the price (although I don’t want to give Mugavik any kind of ideas here… 😀 ).

And, as hinted at, these socks are also especially good for layering. They are noticeably warm for something this thin, don’t smell easily, so, all around a real no-brainer buying decision to add to your luggage and wear underneath a pair of heavier socks, or combined in twos for added warmth. I will definitely get one or two additional pairs just in case the two I bought last year DO give out eventually which, by now, would be actually way overdue.

    Good stuff!
