The shoes feature an innovative UrbanGrip 3.0 mm rubber sole and a removable 3 mm Flexile insole, which reduces impact while walking. The outsole of the Freet York 2 model is stitched around the edges for enhanced durability. Removing the insole improves ground feel. The shoes are secured with laces.
