Bundgaard Charly Low short rubber boots Navy have a flexible sole and are a good fit for feet of wide width.
Charly Low rubber boots are made of natural rubber and have a textile lining to keep your child’s feet dry during wet days outside. The boots have a wide toe box and flexible sole and a zero heel-to-toe drop. These rubber boots have a short leg.
Where to wear: We recommend the use of rubber boots only in very wet conditions when weather conditions are unfit for regular boots and shoes.
Fit: Bundgaard rubber boots are a good fit for feet of wide width and for high instep, they are not suitable for a low instep.
Rubber boots cannot be well attached to the ankle, meaning they should fit the kid’s feet very well – not be too wide or too high. If shoes are not well attached to the ankle, we unconsciously use our feet muscles to keep them on. This causes tension in the muscles and prevents blood circulation. Most kids are not able to determine if shoes fit them well which is why we as parents need to make sure the boots are a good fit.

Bundgaard Charly High rubber boots have some of barefoot shoe characteristics.
Barefoot shoes are minimalist shoes that give an experience close to walking barefoot with feet still protected from cold and injury. Walking in barefoot shoes strengthens muscles, lets your child’s feet receive sensory feedback from the ground and provides free movement of the growing feet. Barefoot shoes are the most comfortable shoes your child has ever worn.
They are characterized by:
- Wide toe box following the natural shape of toes
- Zero heel-to-toe drop
- No arch support
- A flexible and thin sole
